Women's Golf Association
The HSB Women's Golf Association is gearing up for the 2006 season. There are six main tournaments for the year and a variety of casual tournaments on Wednesday Play Days. All the tournaments are flighted. Once a month the format is a scramble or shamble providing the opportunity to meet members in other flights. The WGA sponsors a monthly Sunday Couples Tournament for WGA members followed by dinner. The first Sunday Couples Tournament will be March 19th. The season runs through November.
In addition there are opportunities to play other area clubs in the Team Play Tournaments and the Area Play Events. The Team Play Division A league includes six area clubs. The tournaments are partnership match play. Horseshoe Bay will host the first tournament of this year on March 9 on Ram Rock. The Team Play season is March through September.
Area Play includes six different area clubs. The events are stroke play with low gross and low net prizes by flight. Horseshoe Bay will host the first tournament of this year on March 23 on Slick Rock. The Area Play season is March through September.
Inquiries about membership should be directed to Carolyn Lee. The chairman for Team Play is Kate Pope. The chairman for Area Play is Mary Hall. The sign-up books are in the clubhouse at Slick Rock.
