Road Cuts
This Policy relates to all utility cuts on the complete 122-mile road system in Horseshoe Bay. This includes the Horseshoe Bay, Horseshoe Bay North, Horseshoe Bay South, and Horseshoe Bay West subdivisions.
All Utilities are required to make written request to Horseshoe Bay Property Owners’ Association, Inc. (POA) prior to any utility cut to the Horseshoe Bay road system. Such written request must include the following information:
Location of the subject utility cut;
Size of the subject cut; and
Reason for the subject cut.
The POA office will respond to all requests within 24 hours and issue a written permit. Emergency cuts can be made and followed-up with the proper paperwork on the next business day.
Repair to the subject utility cut must be made to the POA’s standard for all repairs (Trench Repair Detail is avaialble from the POA Manager).
Repair to the first three or four utility cuts made by a subject Utility will be monitored by the POA General Manager to ensure that repairs are made in accordance with the Trench Repair Detail. Failure to comply with the repair standard will result in a performance bond required for all future repair requests. The POA General Manager will determine the size of the performance bond. After compliance is demonstrated satisfactorily, a bond will no longer be required.
