PROPERTY OWNERS' ASSOCIATION

Fault Line Drive Demonstration Project

The Horseshoe Bay Property Owners Association (POA) has completed a paving demonstration project on a 1/10 mile stretch of Fault Line Drive where it intersects with Bay West Boulevard. This demonstration project includes repairing several failures in the road base material (base failures) and replacing the driving surface with hot mixed asphaltic concrete (HMAC). The 24 foot driving surface will be finished with white edge stripes and a yellow center stripe. The work is being performed by Wheeler Coatings and was completed between July 15 – 17.

This demonstration project not only addresses a section of street needing repair but also provides an example of alternative methods of paving which may be utilized in a road renewal program being considered for the Horseshoe Bay POA streets. Prior POA demonstration projects include Thanksgiving Mountain and Hi Circle North which involved ribbon curbs and HMAC.

Horseshoe Bay Property Owners are encouraged to drive out Bay West Boulevard in Horseshoe Bay West and checkout this Fault Line Drive demonstration project. This road renewal method is one of several types of paving to be considered by your Board of Directors. A survey seeking input from POA members on a Road Renewal Program will be mailed to all POA members in late July.
