THE HSB POA 2008 ROAD PROPOSAL
There are 122 miles of roads within the Horseshoe Bay Property Owners’ Association (POA). This year our proposal is to resurface 97 miles of these roads with Hot Mixed Asphaltic Concrete (HMAC) after correcting any existing base failures. This would mean that every road with a residence will be resurfaced over a five year period.
Bay West Blvd., Horseshoe Bay Blvd, most of Hi Circle and parts of Mountain Dew in HSB South will also have ribbon (concrete) curbing. Great Western, parts of Mountain Dew in HSB South, Stag, Pronghorn, Apache Tears, Broken Hills, Fault Line, Sombrero, Big Spur and part of Hi Stirrup – will have either ribbon curbing or asphalt curbing depending on availability of funds. Curbing on the most traveled roads will increase their durability.
How does this differ from the 2007 road proposal? The previous plan called for only 66 miles of roads to be resurfaced with ribbon curbing and did not include all residential roads. The new proposal covers almost 150% more than the 2007 plan and will include every road on which there is a residence. The remaining roads will be resurfaced, if necessary, when a residence is built on them.
A survey seeking input from POA members on this proposal will be mailed to all members in late July. Your input is extremely important to the HSB POA Board.
