Quail Point
Quail Point Lodge is one of Horseshoe Bay's oldest, still-functioning structures. Originally the hunting lodge of the Lupton family from the 1930s through the 1960s, it has served several functions through the years. On over 3 acres that slope down to the banks of Lake LBJ, Quail Point houses the POA offices and has several meeting rooms.
Quail Point Lodge has been renovated and expanded through the years, and many HSB POA daily activity groups regularly meet here. The facility offers ample space for events of all kinds – weddings, reunions, corporate events, political rallies, and celebrations. There is a full kitchen with an oven, a warmer, and an ice machine. The outdoor park features stunning views and an outdoor pavilion and amphitheater.
The total capacity for Quail Point is 573, and there are six rooms that can be used separately or opened to accommodate a large group. These six rooms are:
The Oak Room seats 100 and is the first room you see entering the main entrance. It has a vaulted ceiling with a hardwood floor, perfect for groups that want to dance. The Oak Room and Lake Room have a divider and can be opened to have an extra-large room.
The Lake Room has gorgeous 180° views of Lake LBJ and can seat 200 people. It has a vaulted ceiling and opens out to the back patio porch, and there is a bar in the room.
The Lodge Room seats 80 and can open into the Oak Room if needed. The Lodge has a bar and floor-to-ceiling windows allowing for stunning lake views. The Lodge can be opened into the Oak room for an even larger event setup.
The Mesquite Room is for smaller groups, seating forty-five. Right next to the Lodge Room, it also has floor-to-ceiling windows with scenic views.
The Nook is at the most western part of the building and can seat 38 people. While it adjoins the Mesquite Room, it has a back porch with its own outside doors. Many brides have gotten ready to be wed in this room.
The Poker Room is next to the kitchen and seats 21 lucky people. While the Poker room is rarely rented to groups, it hosts several POA daily card-playing groups.
The entire facility, or a single room, can be rented by calling the POA office at 830-598-8795.
