Residential Pick up:
Monday: Proper and South
Tuesday: West (includes Escondido, Summit Rock, The Trails)
Multi Family Pick Up:
Wednesdays
Pick-up begins at 7:00 a.m. Residents should have garbage placed curbside before 7:00 a.m. to ensure pick-up. All trash must be placed in the blue trash cans provided by the Republic Services. Any trash outside of the blue trash cans will not be picked up. Additional trash cans are available through the City for a reduced rate. Please contact City Hall at (830) 598-8741 for further information. After pick-up, trash cans must be removed from the curbside by sunrise next morning.
Bulk or Large Trash Pick Up: Residents need to contact Shelly Linder and/or her staff by 5:00 pm Wednesday, prior to the scheduled Friday bulk pick-up. Bulk pick-up will be capped at 3 cu. yards per customer with a max of 30 customers. Bulk pick-up is available every other Friday. Contact City Hall for those dates.
Residents must call City Hall at (830) 598-8741 to be scheduled for a bulk trash pick-up.
The Horseshoe Bay Reclamation and Recycling Center is located on Hwy 2831 (Blue Lake Rd), 1/8 mile north of Hwy 71. Hours of operation are Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The facility phone number is (512) 755-3257. The center is closed on official City holidays, unless the City holiday falls on a Monday, then facility will be open.
The recycling facility is available free of charge for City of HSB garbage rate payers and will accept domestic garbage (compactor & open top dumpster), non-construction household items, non-refrigerant appliances, dried water based paints, and recycled materials including aluminum and metal cans, paper, plastics, cardboard, batteries, used oil and certain electronics. Brush may be disposed free of charge only by HSB resident’s self-disposal, all other disposal is considered commercial and subject to commercial permit and volumetric disposal fees as approved by City Council. Commercial brush disposal is allowed on Monday, Wednesday and Friday only.
