Independence Day Celebration 2024
Thank You to Our Incredible Volunteers for a Memorable Fourth of July Celebration!
We are delighted to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the wonderful volunteers who made our Fourth of July celebration at Horseshoe Bay POA an outstanding success. Your dedication and enthusiasm brought joy and excitement to our community, making this patriotic event unforgettable.
A special thank you goes to:
  • Gail and Marca Morris and family for balloon duty at the Fire Station. Your efforts filled the sky and streets with patriotism and joy.
  • Chris and Leola Glatz for your invaluable assistance with the Dog Parade. Your efforts ensured our four-legged friends had a paw-some time!
  • Kathy Overholt for coordinating the decorations and making, bagging, and handing out infinite bags of popcorn. We can't thank you enough for your efforts!
  • Paul and Julie Groot for your beautiful decor and assistance at the information table. Your contributions added a special touch to the event.
  • Debbie Beeman and Andrea Wood for their fantastic work at the children's activities. Your creativity and energy made the kids' day extra special.
  • David Heeren, thank you for your stellar organization and leadership of the boat parade. Your coordination made this nautical spectacle a highlight of the day.
  • Brandon Pounds from the HSB Beacon, Jeff Koska, HSB City Manager, and David Rose for being such good sports as our dunk tank 'dunkees.' Your participation brought laughter and cheer to all.
  • Louraine Robertson, for successfully selling the new phone directories. Your hard work is greatly appreciated.
  • Rickey Lowe, for your help at the back of the land parade. Your support ensured everything ran smoothly.
  • Kim Chandler and her daughter Kelly and Marie Morgan for serving delicious watermelon slices. Your efforts helped keep everyone refreshed and happy. JJC Images from Marble Falls was our watermelon sponsor.
  • Women Working in Communion and Spirit led by Cathy Heeren for serving cold lemonade. These ladies provided a refreshing treat to all attendees.
  • The City of Horseshoe Bay for sponsoring the children's events, enabling us to make the Kiddie Karnival spectacular for the young at heart. The City also donated some water to keep everyone hydrated.
  • Escondido Golf and Lake Club donated water to keep everyone hydrated and healthy. Cold water on this hot day was invaluable.
Thanks to your efforts, we had an incredible, patriotic event that featured three fantastic parades—land, dog, and boat—each filled with festive spirit and positive comments from the crowd. Your contributions made this celebration a joyous and memorable occasion for everyone in our community.
