QUAIL POINT LODGE ACTIVITIES
The Quail Point Calendar of Events lists regular club and organization meetings for the current month as well as private and special events. Note that events, dates and times are current as of the first of the month and subject to change.
The HSB Woodcarvers meet weekly on Tuesdays from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Quail Point in the Poker Room. We welcome all men and women, whether experienced or beginner, who are interested in continuing or learning the art of wood carving. Just bring your carving tools, something to carve, and join us for fun and fellowship while you do your wood carving.

HELPING HANDS CRAFT GUILD
The Helping Hands Craft Guild members make one-of-a-kind items to sell at its annual Bazaar, held each year in November. Purpose is to raise money for the Helping Center which assists thousands of people throughout the year with food, prescriptions and other emergency needs. The members meet the first and third Monday of each month at Quail Point Lodge, and meetings are open to everyone.

hsbWriters is a not-for-profit organization providing community, support, opportunity and inspiration for writers, editors, and illustrators in Horseshoe Bay, Texas and neighboring areas. We extend a warm invitation to members of the writing community in Horseshoe Bay and the surrounding area to come and be part of our community. Social meetings, frequently with a program, are held monthly in different venues on the first Thursday of the month. Board meetings, open to interested volunteers, are held at Quail Point Lodge on the third Tuesday. Workshops occur quarterly at various sites in the area.

KINDRED SISTERS BIBLE STUDY
Kindred Sisters is a locally-organized Bible study for women in the Highland Lakes area. The studies are facilitated by experienced teachers of the Gospel and sometimes incorporate series by nationally known teachers such as Beth Moore, Max Lucado, and Francis Chan. Prayer requests are encouraged and a dedicated
prayer time is part of every meeting. Kindred Sisters meets September through April at Quail Point on Tuesdays at 9:45 AM. The class is open to all women in the area.

MARATHON BRIDGE GROUP
Ladies who know how to play rubber bridge, are welcomed to join our marathon bridge group that meets in the Lodge at Quail Point the first Wednesday of September through June. You and your partner will play 20 hands against other ladies in the group. These scores are given to the leader who keeps them and figures the winners for the final potluck bridge game in June. It’s a great way to enjoy an afternoon with other bridge lovers. All prizes are given at the last gathering. Cards and scoresheets/rules are provided by the leader. A schedule shows the team you are playing, so grab another lady who plays and call to be placed on the list. The schedule is sent out with all the information in late August.

MEN’S BIBLE STUDY
This inter-denominational Bible Study meets every Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Quail Point. The informal format of studying the Bible verse by verse allows for open discussion of questions you always wanted to ask but never had an opportunity. Call for information or just show up with Bible in hand.

STAR REPUBLICAN WOMEN
Star Republican Women meet the third Tuesdays of January, February, March, April, May, September, October, and November at Quail Point, with a social period at 12:30 p.m. and the business meeting and program at 1:00 p.m. This is an active women’s group whose primary purpose is to educate and inform its members of the Republican philosophy through political and educational programs and exposure to candidates and elected officials, while providing the exchange of ideas in a supportive environment. All are welcome to attend.

The Horseshoe Bay POA hosts a Spring Celebration in April. Enjoy a day full of food, wine tastings, yard games, art and musical entertainment at Quail Point Lodge. All City of Horseshoe Bay residents are invited to attend.
INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
Decorate your golf carts, bicycles, cars, floats, yourself and family. Join the parade through tree-lined streets ending up at Quail Point Lodge for a patriotic program, children’s activities, food and beverage. Enjoy the Boat Parade from Quail Point’s lakeside shoreline.
FALL FESTIVAL & CHILI COOKOFF
The Horseshoe Bay POA hosts a Fall Festival and Chili Cookoff that brings both businesses and community together for an afternoon of fun, entertainment and friendly competition. We have array of vendors showcasing their goods and wares, along with a band that provides entertainment for the evening. All City of Horseshoe Bay residents are invited to attend.
HOLIDAY KICK OFF
The Horseshoe Bay POA hosts a Holiday Celebration on the first Monday of December to kick off the season. Enjoy an evening of food, fun, and entertainment at Quail Point Lodge. All Horseshoe Bay POA residents are invited to attend and welcome the new residents to our community.
